Somewhere along the way, rest became associated with laziness instead of recovery.

Many women feel guilty the moment they stop being productive.

But human beings were never designed to exist in constant emotional survival mode.

Rest is not weakness. Slowing down is not failure. Asking for support is not selfish.

Healing begins when women stop believing they must completely deplete themselves in order to deserve care too.

Perhaps emotional wellness is not found in becoming stronger and stronger forever.

Perhaps it is found in finally allowing softness back into life.

More honesty. More boundaries. More quiet. More moments where a woman can exist without performing strength for everyone around her.

Because carrying everything alone was never supposed to be the definition of womanhood.
